Send your first quote – Getting started

Create a new quote from scratch

  1. From the Dashboard, hit ‘New quote’ (top right). 
  2. Choose who you wish to send the quote to, either:
    • search for an existing contact by name or email address (this could also be their company name)
    • create a new contact by hitting the 'tab' key or the 'New contact' result, then enter their first name, last name and email address.
  3. Give your quote a descriptive title.
  4. Search for (lookup) …or… create some price items. 
  5. Search for …or… create some text items, for things like terms and conditions.
  6. Hit ‘Save, view quote’.
    If you're not ready to send your quote straight away you can save it and it will remain in draft, where you can come back to it later.
  7. Have a look over the quote, then hit ‘Send...’. 
  8. Preview the email message, make any changes then hit 'Send now'.
  9. The quote has now been sent and is awaiting acceptance!


Create a new quote using a template

  1. From the Dashboard, select one of your pre-defined templates from the drop-down.
  2. Everything is all laid out... text, prices and optional items.
  3. Choose who you wish to send the quote to, populate any smart tags and continue to send the quote as you normally would – it's that simple!
